چکیده

The VRP’s main objective is to obtain the lowest-cost set of routes to deliver demand to customers, but we can also think about reducing the cardinality of the set of routes. In addition, we can contemplate other objectives like the makespan, workload balance, and some others [10]. This means that we can consider VRP as a multi-objective problem. Moreover, VRP has several variants of increased difficulty, in particular, the one with time windows (VRPTW), which forms the main problem to be studied in this paper, has time as well as capacity constraints.

Research Student Monitoring Group Report 2

Most engineering problems in the real world have several objectives that have to be fulfilled, assigning the appropriate values to the decision variables involved in them. These problems are commonly called multi-objective problems. Most of the times the objectives in these problems are in conflict. This means that, when we try to optimize one objective, we will probably not optimize them all. ...

Research Student Monitoring Group Report 2

These notes present the work that I have done in the first six months of my PhD. The research topic is on how to apply search algorithms to Software Engineering problems. Among these many problems, I chose to investigate the “Test Data Generation” for Object Oriented Software. A review of the literature related to this problem is presented. A justification on why this particular problem has bee...

New methods in ambulatory blood pressure monitoring: interactive monitoring and detection of posture and movement patterns.

Psychophysiological monitoring can be used to assess emotional reactivity in cardiovascular measures. Since blood pressure (BP) variability in daily life is primarily caused by physical activity, metabolic and nonmetabolic effects are confounded. A newly developed method of multiple accelerometry allows for the control of such unwanted variances by continuously detecting posture, general activi...

Teaching Approach and Self-Confidence Effect Model Consistency between Taiwan and Singapore Multi-Group HLM

This study was conducted to explore the effects of two countries model comparison program in Taiwan and Singapore in TIMSS database. The researchers used Multi-Group Hierarchical Linear Modeling techniques to compare the effects of two different country models and we tested our hypotheses on 4,046 Taiwan students and 4,599 Singapore students in 2007 at two levels: the class level and student (i...
